General Safety Rules

Design Challenge

Background:
The school has received a grant to set up a new shop class. The classroom will be used for both academic instruction and performing hands on shop-based work. Compliance with State and Federal safety rules is mandatory. Part of that compliance is having proper safety posters displayed.

Task:
Now that you have reviewed the Production Lab Safety Rules, you will have the opportunity to focus on just ONE rule by creating a poster that effectively teaches that rule.  Posters will be displayed throughout the classroom to serve as reminder.

Design and create a safety poster that can be displayed in any Technology and Engineering Production. The poster must have a safety saying and proper graphics depicting either lab situations where rules are NOT being followed or a safety warning. The poster should be easy to interpret and can be humorous. Be sure to refer to the rubric below to guide you in your work. Have fun!
